Master Plan of Lekki Free Trade Zone

On 22nd November 2007, the lagos ministry of commerce and industry invited officials of the lekki free zone Development company (LFDZ) a grand presentation of the lekki free trade Zone MASTER PLAN (2003). The event was moderated by Mrs. Oworu, special Adviser to the Governor on commerce and industry. There was a full representation of the relevant agencies by directors from the ministries of physical planning/urban development, commerce and industry; survey development bureau of lands; LFZDC; lekki world investments ltd (LWIL); project consultants etc.

When he addressed the gathering, the chief engineer of LFZDC, Mr. Yong remarked that the master plan was still a preliminary document on which comments were to be received at the presentation ceremony. such comments would be considered as useful inputs for a a detailed report later on.

According to the master plan, the minimum land space to be leased is two(2) hectares and it is the management of the free zone JV company that determines the exact location.
